What can you do?

  • Register by creating an account for yourself - Please register yourself as a user first. You can only contribute to Hinduwiki after you logged in as a registered user. Even though it is possible to edit or add pages without logging in, we turned off this option to help control the vandalism to the site. So please register by creating an account for yourself. To do this, click on Create an account or log in link shown on the very top of the site, fill your details and click on Create new account button.
  • Help build HinduWiki - This site is a wiki, meaning anyone can edit it, including you!
If you are new to wiki, read the Wiki tutorial to get an idea of how the system works. Many learn the first basics by just observing an existing page's edit code. Try practicing your wikispeak in the Sandbox. Just don't worry about making mistakes....learn and rectify, take your time and effort. For help see Help pages.
Add/Improve - Add useful/relevant information to any existing page. Just click on the edit button above a page, type in what you want, watch the preview, write a summary, and when satisfied, push save. For help see Help pages.
Create new articles - choose any Hindusim related topic you want to write about (or discuss) and go ahead create it. Make sure you are not duplicating an existing article. To start a new topic - think of a good title for your topic and type it in the search box. If that topic already exists then you will be directed that page. If the topic didn't exist, then you will be asked to create it by clicking on a link.
Organise/Clean - Keep things organized. Whereever appropriate, categorise [1], add links, make standard templates, etc.
Combat Vandalism- No matter how carefully we guard, there will always be some one who wants to spoil the efforts we all put in. Afterall, anyone can edit most of the pages of this wiki. So we request you to revert to a cleaner version if you see a page that has garbled or inappropriate content added.
